ABC No Rio is a volunteer-led community center. The success of ABC No Rio programs is due to both the individual initiative and the collective action of ABC No Rio volunteers. Many volunteers demonstrate exceptional expertise, commitment, mutual respect and/or the ability to motivate others. These folks have been the key to our past and our future, and are encouraged to grow within the community.
As we prepare to move back into our new building in July 2026, our collectives are slowly ramping up programming and activity as we continue ABC No Rio programs ‘in-exile’ at other venues and in collaboration with other organizations all over the city. This means there are more opportunities to get involved. Below is a list of our current programs and how to reach out. Sign up to our mailing list, we will announce events, projects and general updates there.
We are always looking for volunteers to help archive our zine collection. Tasks involve cataloguing, categorizing and inputting zine information into our database. We also occasionally table at zine fairs across the city. To volunteer, contact us at: zine [@] abcnorio.org
Our printshop is currently at a location in Bushwick, Brooklyn. If you are interested in helping us from time-to-time to run printshop workshops, and helping us print ABC No Rio merchandise, reach out at abc [@] abcnorio.org

Punk/Hardcore Music Collective
Get in touch at punk [@] abcnorio.org to volunteer. All new volunteers will be asked to help with set-up, clean-up, etc, at our shows before joining collective meetings. If you are a band looking to play an in-exile show, also write us at the above address.
